Main Shrine Hall
Due to heavy snowfall and severe cold in winter, the Okumiya of Mt. Daisen was a place where year-round rituals were extremely difficult.
Thus, our predecessors conceived the idea of establishing another site where they could serve the deities even during winter.
That is what became the present Main Shrine of Ōgamiyama Shrine.
However, the place where the deity was first enshrined also became difficult to maintain due to various circumstances, and the shrine was subsequently moved from one location to another at the foot of Mt. Daisen.
It is said that the shrine finally settled at its present location in Odaka, Yonago City, in the second year of Shōō (1653).

Today, as the guardian shrine of the community, it is revered by local residents who visit for New Year’s worship, various prayers, and life‑cycle ceremonies.
In addition, for those who find the steep path to the Okumiya difficult, a worship point for remote veneration has been established.

Various talismans and amulets are available at the reception office.
Goshuin are also available here.
If you have any business with the shrine, please come to the reception office.
We also provide information about the Okumiya and the Yonago and Mt. Daisen areas.
Main Shrine Grounds

Beside the Main Hall, you will find the “Daisen Okumiya Shimoyama Shrine Worship Point.”
From here, you can worship toward the Daisen Okumiya.
