Following the recent heavy snowfall and rapid temperature fluctuations, the snow accumulated on the trees has become significantly heavier. Consequently, we have confirmed fallen trees and broken branches in several locations throughout the Okumiya precincts of Daisen Shrine.
We would normally address the situation immediately; however, as the work must be carried out in deep snow, it is difficult to proceed right away.
Fortunately, the fallen trees are not currently obstructing the approach, and passage is still possible. However, the situation remains unpredictable, as it is unclear when additional branches or trees may fall.
We are currently consulting with the relevant authorities and will continue to address the situation. We kindly ask all visitors to exercise the utmost caution when visiting.
In addition, as the weather has been warm over the past few days, there is a significant possibility that not only branches but also hardened masses of snow may fall.
Furthermore, a cold wave is forecast for the coming weekend.
