Safe Childbirth Waraji Omamori

According to an old tradition, the straw‑sandals’ cords worn by the Shinto priests during the ancient ritual—held on the night of July 14th through the early morning of the 15th, when they climb to the summit of Mt. Daisen to collect sacred water and medicinal herbs—are believed to bring blessings for safe childbirth.
The cord of the straw sandal is enclosed inside the omamori.

Omamori for Healing and Recovery

Our enshrined deity, Ōnamuchi-no-Mikoto (Ōkuninushi-no-Mikoto), is revered as a god of healing and regeneration, known for the tale of treating the Hare of Inaba and the rebirth legend associated with Akajishi Rock.
We offer the Byōki-Heiyu Omamori, which contains sacred medicinal herbs collected during the Ancient Ritual (the Sacred Water Drawing Ceremony) and purified through ritual, believed to ward off evil influences and illness.

It is cherished for its connection to the traditional “Mohitori” ritual, in which ascetic practitioners wear waraji sandals as they climb Mt. Daisen, praying for strength and healthy legs.

Shaped after the Karasu-Tengu, the guardian spirit of Mt. Daisen, this omamori is blessed for good fortune and protection from misfortune. Its small and charming design makes it especially popular among children and women.
Ogamiyama Shrine Original Goshuin Book

The design has been renewed in commemoration of the Reiwa Reconstruction.
The design depicts the golden Okumiya shrine beneath the radiant green summer slopes of Mt. Daisen.
